On the occasion of the 4th edition of Arte in Nuvola, Galleria Abscondita curated a journey through time, exploring the enduring legacy of the Venetian aesthetic. The booth opened with a sophisticated dialogue between the ephemeral glassworks of Vittorio Zecchin and the contemporary photomosaics of Andrea Morucchio.
Despite the temporal distance, both artists share a common lineage: drawing inspiration from the Renaissance as a model of ideal beauty, yet reinterpreting its archetypes through the distinct sensibilities of their respective eras.
A central feature of the exhibition was the premiere of new works by
Michele Burato: two radical, unconventional variations on the iconic 'Veronese' vase, commissioned exclusively for the gallery.
Expanding on the theme of matter and gesture, a broader selection of
Burato’s glass pieces was presented in conversation with the abstract expressionism of the Roman School masters, creating a vibrant chromatic exchange with works by
Mario Schifano, Giulio Turcato, and
Luigi Boille.
